Top man
Not much activity on the forum these days but I check regularly just incase you think nobody is interested anymore. I just don't really have anything to say... Hopefully you are seeing results now, looking forward to hearing from you tropic. Just a few more questions if that's ok. Is the surgery in a little doorway next to the Louis v shop? It's hard to tell from Google maps. Are there taxis or buses that run from the airport to the hotel mondial? I've not been abroad for over 10 years since I was young so the travel is what puts me off the most. The thought of organising flights, hotel, travel, to and from hotel and surgery gives me the fear but from what you've said it seems relatively painless.

the downtime is going to be longer than expected, I had some whacky idea that the spots would be instantly white having never had any scars before, they are red and probably will be for some time (3-6 months) I also have heaps of little white milia bumps but told these will subside with time and common following any type of skin surgery.

yes, next to the louis v if you zoom in on google maps there is a number 20 written on the wall by the doors entry.

fly to dusseldorf, jump on the skytrain that goes directly to the airport train station, buy a ticket at the DB office and there will be a train to the central in no time (usually destined for cologne/Frankfurt/aachen) its the cheapest way to go, and then the same way back.

as for hotel, if you go don't stay in mondail, stay at hotel famosa, much nicer I stayed here on my second visit, and about the same distance walk from the train station and to the clinic, about £5 more than mondial but well worth it (mondial is a bit of a dump tbh)

it is daunting as f**k I know but when you get there and about it really isn't too bad at all

have you tried any other methods of removal so far? CO2/electro?
That is a bit surprising that it takes so long to recover but as long as the results are there in the end it'll be worth it.
I'm not massively bothered about the hotel as I'll probably just do what you did rather than stay for the week, but if the famosa is better I'll probably just stay there. I've not tried any other methods as they all just seem a waste of money unfortunately, did you try anything before MP? As for your surgery, did you have the consultation or did Dr pallua just check you on the same day? When I contacted them they said I could book the surgery after my consultation but obviously I don't want to fly to Germany just for a consultation

Man it would be really appreciated if you keep posting the photos, even if the healing situation is not as good as expected it would give the idea of how the post-treatment process goes during the months. I'm among the users who are very very interested in the treatment and Im trying to understand how the recovery process really is to plan the best period of the year for having it done, coz I guess it would require a break from my college studies
yeah it was all done on the same day, consultation and then straight into being operated on. and yeah I hope so, only time will tell and ive no issue waiting at the moment to be honest

and yes ill upload some photos within the next week or two as I don't really have anything to take pictures with (phones away being fixed), I cant really see you needing to take time out for the procedure, two weeks recommended but that's about it
I have been deeply depressed by this condition for years. I feel like it has completely ruined my life and occasionally considered ending it but the distress it would cause my family and friends has always stayed my hand. (I have a theory that there could be a correlation between this condition and the higher suicide rates of men compared to women as fordyce spots are far more visible on men than women.)

When I first looked it up a long time a go all the treatments out there sounded like they didn't really work so I just did my best to ignore the situation and bury it in the back of my mind. I actually plucked up the courage and went to my local GP once and he had never even heard of Fordyce spots! He gave me some steroid cream which had no effect so I did not return and just went back to ignoring the situation. Weirdly at the time I actually imagined a method of micropunch surgery and thought it would be the logical solution but didn't know it was a procedure that actually existed!

Anyway sob story over... . I am very interested in following your results and hope you keep us updated! I would also like to know if there is anywhere in the UK that offer this treatment as I would prefer not to have to travel to Germany to have this done. I wish you the best of luck and really hope this works! This could change my life and maybe one day save it.

Again good luck and keep us posted!

Mate, we are all hoping that your healing is going well and that the results are starting to appear! Please keep us posted, I think you are the only one who cared to create a detailed report of this procedure!
